Leadership Tip for the Week:
Inherent in the concept of democracy is the belief that every person has individual worth and the liberty to express it. This gives us the right to act, speak, or think as we want without hindrance or restraint. Yet, it comes with the responsibility of allowing others the same liberty and power. It is this individual birthright that allows for the greatest achievable potential in each person. It is democracy that makes it possible for ordinary people to achieve extraordinary things.
Quotation attributed to:
Harry Emerson Fosdick: An American Pastor of the early 20th century
“Democracy is based upon the conviction that there are extraordinary possibilities in ordinary people.”
